Wanting to learn something new? To explore the media and creative industries? Well THE END FM has the answer for you.

In partnership with South West Arts Inc. and The Creative Education Hub, there are a multitude of workshops on offer between now and the end of the year. And there is more to come in 2022.

Our most popular workshop ‘Learn Podcasting’  is perfect for beginners, or those who need a refresher. This six week workshop teaches you how to make your very own professional podcast from concept and development, to recording, editing and publishing on the web. Taught by long-time radio and podcast professional Jason Wolfgram, you are certain to go away with all the skills needed to create a successful podcast, or radio program, with an opportunity for one on one feedback. It is hosted on Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm, with the next available session starting on September 1 to October 6, with another available from November 3 to December 8, all held at 122 End St, Deniliquin.

‘Advanced Interviewing’ will teach you everything you could possibly need to know about conducting a great interview, and getting the most out of that interaction. This is a great follow up workshop from ‘Learn Podcasting’, but is suited to anyone wanting to interview, especially for podcasting, radio, work, or even an assignment, also giving you the skills to be a good interviewee. Facilitated by radio pro Maria Foundas, it is a fun two session workshop certain to have you laughing while you learn important skills. The two session workshop will also be held on Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm on August 25 and September 1 at 122 End St, Deniliquin.

Another great advanced workshop is ‘Advanced Audio Editing’, ideal for anyone wanting to continue their audio editing education. Radio Pro Maria Foundas will take participants through different audio editing software, teaching you to apply a multitude of techniques to your audio projects over two sessions. It is the perfect follow up from the ‘Learn Podcasting’ workshop, and offers an opportunity for one on one feedback. The editing software involved in this workshop is free for everyone to use, allowing you to continue your editing after the workshop. It will be held on Wednesdays October 20 and October 27 from 5pm to 7pm at 122 End St, Deniliquin.

THE END FM is also excited to announce the addition of its ‘Introduction to DJ Mixing’ Workshops, with dates to be confirmed. This is a chance for individuals to learn skills from a real DJ and practice on professional Pioneer DJ Decks. By the end of this hands on workshop, you will have the skills to be able to jump behind the decks and recognise all the functions, also understanding how to spin some tunes. Participants will also develop a better understanding of music theory, beatmatching, the difference between digital and vinyl DJing and what equipment they should choose as a new DJ, and often overlooked music medium. Watch this space for more information.

And even better, these workshops and courses are FREE for anyone aged under 35 with a concession card including Student, Low Income and Health Care Cards. Otherwise, Learn Podcasting is $50 per person for all six sessions, Advanced Interviewing and Advanced Audio Editing is $25 per person for the two sessions.

Individuals can register for as many Workshops and Courses they would like to attend by using the following link – https://bit.ly/3uZ02KT – or QR code.
