END FM Youth, Music, Arts and Culture
This project is to construct a multi-purpose, media, training, and music production-centric facility inside a large commercial van that can travel throughout the communities of the southwest region of New South Wales.
The project will provide access to production facilities that allow young people to try out and learn about a professional studio environment. There are limited permanent radio or music studios throughout the region. Those who aspire to have careers in and around the music/ communications industry from regional areas often have to travel or leave home to pursue them.
This project will take the extremely effective operating framework developed at the END FM in Deniliquin and make it accessible to all regional young people regardless of location, remoteness, or community capacity.
This project was funded by the NSW Government as part of the Creative Capital Program
In 2022, we allowed youth to design the artwork displayed on the broadcasting van. This will not just be seen through the region but also at festivals, events, local and regional performances.
The Wrap Competition has seen entries from across the region. It was decided by the youth to allow Theodora Schofield to put her talents into the design.
Our broadcasting van is equipped with everything to broadcast at events and festivals across the region.
If you have any events that you think would be great to have END FM broadcast to our audience, please get in contact with the station.
